I have stated at the Sunset motel a number of times in the past 2 years. The rooms are very comfortable, clean and the management is wonderful. Very welcoming and accommodating. For a lower cost alternative to the expensive hotels in Santa Barbara, the Sunset Motel will always be my go to place to stay!

We enjoyed our stay at Sunset Motel! The rooms are comfortable with beautiful heavy wood furniture and big beds. We had a big bathtub as well. Great location, close to shops and the mall, restaurants and Target/CVS. The front desk is very friendly and kind. Definitely recommend for a stay in Santa Barbara.

I have stayed at this hotel at least 3 times. They have recently remodeled and they look great. Comfy beds, friendly staff. Great location. It’s a great halfway point between UCSB and downtown Santa Barbara. There’s a great little restaurant for breakfast or lunch across the street. I usually walk there.

My husband and I rested for two nights and we loved everything! The hostess is very friendly and kindly helped with all questions! The location was good, you can go out and walk along the street. 7 eleven is a stone's throw away, which allows you to buy something you need in a couple of seconds from the room. They have big plans for further development and that's great! All rooms have been completely re-equipped.

Wait, this is the coziest, cutest motel room I've been to. The decor makes it just so homey and boutique-like. My husband and I usually stays at hotels, but this was good enough we'd come back! The bed was comfy, smelled clean and updated (I have a pet-peeve for damp a/c smell or walls that kept the old 70's cigarettes lol), and roomy enough to not feel cramped! ✨ Also, you're 7 minutes away from really coffee and food, Santa Barbara is just so nice 🥰

stay at this hotel was absolutely exceptional. From the moment I arrived, the staff went above and beyond to make me feel welcomed and cared for. The room was spotless and beautifully maintained, and incredibly comfortable. The atmosphere throughout the hotel was peaceful and inviting. I especially appreciated how attentive friendly the staff was. Sunset motel exceeded my expectations. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a to stay in SB.

We stayed at the Sunset Motel in Santa Barbara in June 2026 for two nights. They are under new management and we got a recently renovated room. The space was comfy and clean. Really loved the blackout curtains (my husband thought it was the middle of the night when his alarm went off) and headboard with outlets and lights. The folks running the place were friendly and attentive. The location was super convenient for getting all over Santa Barbara. Would definitely stay again.

Absolutely loved this motel, I highly recommend it! The service was exceptional from the moment we arrived, and the staff was friendly, welcoming, and always willing to help. The room was stunning, very clean, and beautifully decorated. Everything felt well-maintained, and the bed was incredibly comfortable. The location was also convenient and made it easy to get around. Overall, it exceeded my expectations, and I would definitely stay here again. If you’re looking for a clean, comfortable, and relaxing place to stay with amazing service, this is the perfect spot!
